Whether you are building a custom home, planning a whole-home renovation, reimagining a kitchen, or furnishing rooms that have never quite come together, the beginning is the same. Before we talk about design solutions, we want to understand your home, your family, and what you hope this project will change about the way you live.
You do not need to have it figured out before you reach out to an interior designer. Most people don’t. Tell us what you are considering, and we will help you understand what the right first step looks like.
The more we understand before we talk, the more useful the first conversation will be. A few sentences about what you are planning is plenty.

We design homes throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area — Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac, North Potomac and Rockville in Maryland; McLean, Great Falls, Arlington and Tysons in Northern Virginia; and Washington, DC. If you are searching for an interior designer near you and your home is in one of these communities, we are close by. See where we work →
Occasionally we take on projects beyond the region when the fit is right. If your home is elsewhere, tell us about it and we will be straightforward about whether we are the right studio for the project.
Still deciding? You may find our design process, what a project typically involves, and our recent work helpful.
Share a few details about your home, your project, and your timeline. Nothing formal — just enough for us to understand what you are considering.
Every inquiry is read personally. When a conversation would help, we will follow up with a brief phone call — usually fifteen or twenty minutes — to learn more about the project and answer your first questions.
Not every project begins the same way. Depending on scope and complexity, we may suggest a Design Consultation, a Complimentary Virtual Meet & Greet, or a Custom Design Planning Session.
Once the right starting point is clear, we schedule it — and the work of understanding your home begins.
There is no obligation at any stage of this process, and no reason to decide quickly. Our goal in the first conversation is not to move you toward a commitment. It is to help you understand your own project well enough to know what should happen next. If that turns out to be someone other than us, we will tell you.
Every home we have designed started the same way: a conversation about a family, a house, and what needed to change. Not a proposal, not a budget, not a mood board — a conversation.
If you are ready to have that conversation, we would like to hear about your project.
Not ready to meet yet? Send an inquiry and we’ll take it from there.
